FATE….FUTURE….FAINT……

Sometimes in our lives we get stuck at a juncture where it becomes difficult for us to forge an opinion about the possible course our endeavours should take. The past looks golden, present undefined and future parched of a meaning. We then cling to the distant hope that the maidens of luck shall finally one day relent and offer us the best of services. To me well….that orgasm is still a fantasy.

Now the question that rears its head is that, work and why think what the future has in store for you? This leads me to the blind alley behind the catch 22 bar. Littered with beer cans from Shangri La. I had read in psychology that a hint of a good future is in itself a self-motivator. For you to work yourself through the marsh, you should have an idea about the dry land that lies ahead. Seems quite logical….isn't it ?

Here that's not the case. You have to work like the whore from Warsaw, with the belief that Prague is next and yes, have to suggest to others that Las Vegas is just around the corner. Because time and again we are taught NOT to question what life presents before us.

I see a huge gap between theory and practice. Between what ought to be and what is. Between why you shouldn't do it and why you are forced to follow the God damned diktat. You are reared and nourished through a heady maze of ideas, idioms and ideologies. You are constantly assured that you are being watched and would be supplemented and complemented according to your deeds.

The events breaking around us are an antipathy of the principles that we are taught to stand for. And still I hear those old ramblings. As if the widows of yore will never leave their wail and are forever doomed with no perdition in sight. We have lost ourselves somewhere in the mythological jigsaw, created by the pundits who think that its sin to question what has so long been held as justified. Why an embargo on emotions, an interdict on ideas and an expurgation on expression?

History has stood witness to the rise and fall of empires from Sparta to Rome to India. But the symbols and euphemisms that are plastered all over our thoughts refuse to fall. Man kills man and we call it war, people die of hunger and we call it poverty, humans commit rape and we call it insanity and somewhere in the dark dingy corner on the asphalt lay cuddled and shivering....Humanity. Have we forgotten it....Have we left it behind....Or have we lost it.....

To many I might seem lost but the bigger fact is SO ARE THEY……..
